Vrsi is a small fishing village on the pininsula between Nin and Ljubač bay, 25 kom northwest from Zadar. This quiet fishing and tourist village is rich in Mediterranean vegetation and preserved natural beauty.
For those who enjoy nature, beatiful beaches and peaceful surroundings without the noise, this is the right place for vacation. Vrsi has around some 32 km of coastline where everyone can find something for him/her self; sandy beaches, natural rocky beaches and many hidden coves and inlets.
The climate is Mediterranean (with dry and warm summers and wet and mild winters). With an average of 2600 hours a year this is one of the sunniest parts of the Mediterranean, the sea temperature in summer is 25 celzius to 27 celzius.
Mulo is the most beautiful part of Vrsi, with flourishing vegetation, natural beauty and world famous healing black mud (it`s chemical-physical properties are confirmed and acknowledged by world medical experts).
Area by the sea is mostly occupied with family houses and guest houses. Most of them are directly by the sea or 100-200 meters from the sea.
Mostly there are pebble beaches with generally a nice entrance to the sea.
From Vrsi towards the Islet of Zvecevo, close to the fields and vineyards, you will find a nice sandy cove of Ricine, which yachts use as the anchoring point on their way to Zadar or Pag.
Besides the beach, there is a walkway with several shops, restaurants, cafes and playground. Also you can find boardwalk where you can buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats.
At the western end of the village begins a 2-kilometer-long pine forest, completely uninhabited and ideal place for nudists and lovers of solitude.
The entrance to the sea is rocky but a dozen feet from the shore there is a sandy bottom.
During your stay in Vrsi, you can also visit the nearby national parks Krka, Kornati, Paklenica and Plitvice Lakes alongside natural preserves of Telašćica and Lake Vrana. During the month of August, you can observe festivals such as: Fishermen’s Nights and Evening of folklore and old customs.
If you love history and archaeology, 5 km from Vrsi is one of the oldest Croatian towns and the seat of Croatian rulers – Nin (an old royal town), and with every step you take you will discover some historical landmark.
Yet, if you want some recreation and entertainment, there is a tourist resort Zaton, at mere 9 km from our apartments, offering many sport activities (tennis, Mini Golf, Jet Ski…), night clubs and restaurants.
Between Poljice and Vrsi there is a replica of a cowboy town, Buffalo Bill City that you should certainly visit. It has a saloon, sheriff’s office, bank, ponies and other interesting contents from that era that spread over the area of 18,000 square meters.
Adventurists can rent quad buggies in Vrsi to ride around the mountain trails, and those who like sailing will find favorable winds here.
